You owe the world everything

There is a new trend people use these days to make themselves feel good or better still to evade responsibility. Popular saying like “I don’t owe the world anything”, “I love myself and I don’t care about anybody” while these sayings are maybe justifiable it also exudes a sense of defeat and greed, some people say this to reduce the pressure on themselves while some say it because they are just lazy and they aren’t ready to push themselves to the limit without pushing oneself to the limits we will never know how far we can go and what you can really achieve. The world has a tendency of withholding its best from those who keep their best in terms of gifts, talents, skills, and so on. We all come into the world with gifts and talents that we can utilize to help others. No one is born without an inherent capacity to be creative. I don’t only mean athleticism when I say talent. What I mean is that everyone is born with a specific gift to share with the world. When they discover it, develop it into a useful skill, and then share it with the world through a career, job, or business, the world rewards them with its best.

Just let’s imagine the following instances:

● The government did not give you good health care or a better taxation system or equal representation or social change or updated policies or sensible laws or a fair judiciary system

● Your neighbours aren’t courteous towards you.

● Your landlord did not you a grace period on your rent.

● your parents did not give you a good childhood

● people, in general, did not give you an offence-free interaction

● your boss did not give you a second chance

● your mechanic did not give you an honest assessment or a fair price

● your school did not give you a good education

● Mark Zuckerberg did not give the world WhatsApp, Facebook and other social apps that have made connecting with the world seamless

● The Wright brothers did not invent and build the first world aeroplane.

● Entertainers don’t contribute their own quota to make us happy and alive

And many others

Humans are the only creatures with the intelligence to change the world in any manner they want: we build roads, highways, dams, bridges, buildings, and other astounding architectural feats. This demonstrates that humans have enormous power and sovereignty over the planet we live on. This implies that we are accountable for the well-being of all living things on the planet.

Aristotle wrote about a concept he named “eudaimonia (also known as eudemonia),” which roughly translates to “happy life.” It’s frequently interpreted as “joy.” And he reasoned that, while he didn’t know all that went into making successful life, he did know that it was made up of a lot of different components and that you were happiest when you had the most various things going right. He believed that excellent health, a certain degree of pleasure, the ability to learn new things, and the ability to work hard and accomplish as much as possible were all crucial. And he believed that doing things that benefitted your community and getting recognized for it was a significant element of pleasure.

Since you were born into this world, it is your responsibility to strive not to contribute to its destruction. Don’t pollute, don’t hate, and don’t do anything terrible. Try to be altruistic and help others, and make sure that the person you leave behind will continue to be as nice as you were when he or she takes your place in the world. It will allow for the maintenance of excellent harmony and the creation of a world that will last much longer. The world provides you with a home; it is your responsibility to manage that home. That is the amount you owe.
