From infancy to death
Again another year has passed
In timeless space.

From the womb of all time
A golden ray peeks out
Fresh dawn to be created.

With each clockhand
The crystal ball plummets
To usher in a new year.

Built with a new calendar
To help the human mind
Manage the always changing time.

From what was previously One,
Hidden, dark, and mysterious
An epiphany of light emerges,

Divides into the sun, the moon, and the stars.
Negative days and nights.
In a period of time, create a season,

In mortal hearts, time endures,
both in times of joy and sorrow,
An ominous conclusion heralds a fresh start.

Old memories fade away silently,
As life blossoms on a fresh flower,
To make an offering for someone who exists outside of time.
